Ellie Update
Today was the big day.....we headed back to the amazing ortho drs to find out how well Elliegirl's fracture was healing. Xrays lookin' good but she is still having pain when they tried to make her walk on it. So she got rid of the pink and took on a shorter purple one :) this time straight so she can start walking and weight-bearing. she requested MeeMee to come along and was the bravest lil chick ever :)
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and helping us thru this time while Daddy is 1.5 weeks away from musical and it's been so crazy!! We couldn't have done it without our amazing friends and family!!!

Song of the Day...
I know the rain is coming and it's sure gonna pour
No there ain't no running from this kinda storm
It's gonna get hotter and hotter, they keep on pushing through
I'm gonna wanna quit, so I'll be counting on you
Give me love when I ain't got nobody
A little hope when I ain't got none at all
Give me light up ahead on a journey
Give me strength when I'm standing
And faith when I fall
When the clouds start parting and the sun starts shining through
This time I wont forget, I wont forget about you
No there ain't no running from this kinda storm
It's gonna get hotter and hotter, they keep on pushing through
I'm gonna wanna quit, so I'll be counting on you
Give me love when I ain't got nobody
A little hope when I ain't got none at all
Give me light up ahead on a journey
Give me strength when I'm standing
And faith when I fall
When the clouds start parting and the sun starts shining through
This time I wont forget, I wont forget about you

The Road of Life
~ Author Unknown ~
At first I saw God as my observer, my judge,
keeping track of the things I did wrong,
so as to know whether I merited heaven or hell when I die.
He was out there sort of like a president.
I recognized his picture when I saw it, but I really didn't know Him
But later on, when I met Christ,
It seemed as though life were rather like a bike ride,
but it was a tandem bike,
and I noticed that Christ was in the back helping me pedal
I don't know when it was that he suggested
that we change places,
but life has not been the same since.
When I had control,
I knew the way.
It was rather boring,
but predictable. . .
It was the shortest distance between two points
But when he took the lead,
He knew delightful long cuts,
up mountains,
and through rocky places
at breakneck speeds,
It was all I could do to hang on!
Even though it looked like madness,
He said, "Pedal"
I worried and was anxious and asked,
"Where are you taking me?"
He laughed and didn't answer,
and I started to learn to trust.
I forgot my boring life
and entered into the adventure.
And when I'd say "I'm scared,"
He'd lean back and touch my hand.
He took me to people with gifts that I needed,
gifts of healing, acceptance and joy.
They gave me gifts to take on my journey,
my Lords and mine.
And we were off again.
He said, "Give the gifts away;
they're extra baggage, too much weight."
So I did, to the people we met,
and I found that in giving I received,
and still our burden was light.
I did not trust Him, at first,
In control of my life.
I thought He'd wreck it;
but he knows bike secrets,
knows how to make it bend to take sharp corners,
knows how to jump to clear high rocks,
knows how to fly to shorten scary passages.
And I am learning to shut up and pedal
in the strangest places,
and I'm beginning to enjoy the view
and the cool breeze on my face
with my delightful constant companion
Jesus Christ.
And when I'm sure I just can't do anymore,
He just smiles and says . . . "Pedal."

Be Responsible
by Joyce Meyer - posted April 15, 2012
She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat. —Proverbs 31:27
Our friend in Proverbs is a responsible woman. She stays alert to how things go in her household, she refuses to be idle, and she doesn’t waste her time in things such as sitting around gossiping or wallowing in self-pity. She is not discontented. She appreciates life, and I believe she celebrates it fully each day. Idleness, waste, self-pity, gossip, and discontentment are thieves of the great life Jesus died to give you.
The apostle Paul gave this exhortation to some members in the church in Thessalonica, “Indeed, we hear that some among you are disorderly [that they are passing their lives in idleness, neglectful of duty], being busy with other people’s affairs instead of their own and doing no work” (2 Thessalonians 3:11). Don’t allow these sins to rule you. When you maintain a positive attitude, you will enjoy more confidence.
Doing what one believes to be right will always increase confidence. You can’t go wrong when you keep God as the focus of your life. Follow the example of the Proverbs 31 woman. She gives us tremendous insight in how to be the best and most confident homemaker, wife, and mother we can be.
Lord, I never want to waste my life and all the blessings You have given me. Help me to find my contentment in walking with You and following hard after You in service. Amen.

Happy Friday
It's 10:30 am and here's our morning so far: I was on the phone and Monkies G and E brought our strawberry plant pots inside and WATERED THEM WITH MILK....don't know what they were thinking but hey: if they grow rapidly..i'm ok with it :) then they are sitting at the table coloring and Ellie says, "hey mommy look at gabe's picture he drew of him and his girlfriend!" He holds it up and says "nu-uh... that's me and mommy!" So i ask, oh i'm yer girlfriend?? that's so sweet! He gets embarrassed and says, "what?!?!no! ellie's just a joker!" hahaha...last but not least, just a few min ago the door bell rings and when i open the door Gabe is standing there with a silly grin, "hi! it's jason! i'm home for lunch!" ....he was completely dressed in PapaMonkey clothes and shoes to top it off. what a nut. happy happy friday!!!

A Stirring...
"A stirring is happening within the Bride. God is awakening the church from her slumber, initiating a profound advancement of the kingdom. Please, don’t miss it because the American Dream seems a reasonable substitute, countering the apparent downside to living simply so others can live at all.
Do not be fooled by the luxuries of this world; they cripple our faith. Like Jesus explained, the right things have to die so the right things can live – we die to selfishness, greed, power, accumulation, prestige, and self-preservation, giving life to community, generosity, compassion, mercy, brotherhood, kindness, and love." - Jen Hatmaker

He Is Alive...
All the junk you deal with,
all the stuff you have faced-
will all be okay
because of one thing...
... HE IS ALIVE!
Lord, I am forever grateful.

will all be okay
because of one thing...
... HE IS ALIVE!
Lord, I am forever grateful.

Thankful Today
Feeling overwelmingly thankful today.....
1-for Jesus dying on the Cross for me, loving me despite all my mistakes and imperfections, and never giving up on me.
2- For Jason.....the man who puts up with me and stands beside me thru it all. {Whoever said a countrygirl and musicboy wouldn't last--well we're proving them wrong :)}
3- For our 3 onery but oh-so-amazing monkies.....wow...wouldn't trade... them for anything---they are the best of the best.
4- For our families who have loved and supported us, we love you guys.
5- Our friends....you guys are amazing and life is so much sweeter with you in it :) 6- And this beautiful house we were blessed with this past year---to the world it's just an average house----but to us, we feel rich beyond measure.
*****Happy Easter weekend....may you know how loved and blessed you are.

Troubles
"Rehearsing your troubles results in experiencing them many times, whereas you are meant to go through them only when they actually occur."
