Who You Are...
I really needed to hear this tonite.....I pray it blesses you as it did me.....
"When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, “The LORD is with you, mighty warrior…Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand.”
“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”
Judges 6:12, 14-15
When God shows you who you are, your first reaction will be no I’m not.
I’m not a mighty warrior.
I’m not called to do that.
I’m not good enough.
I’m not capable.
I’m not worthy.
I’m not beautiful.
I’m not lovable.
I’m not…
But how God sees you isn’t based on your pedigree or performance.
It’s based on the potential He’s placed inside of you.
God does not measure you based on your lowest moments.
He measures you based on your high calling.
God does not define your life based on what you have done or who you are.
He defines your life based on what Jesus has done for you and who Jesus is in you.
And that’s the only thing that matters.
Long before God ever showed you who you are or what you’re here to do, He knew who you were and what you had done and would do. In other words, God isn’t shocked by our protests or feelings of inadequacy.
Abraham didn’t shock God when he told Him he was old.
Moses didn’t shock God when he told Him he was a stutterer.
Gideon didn’t shock God when he told Him he was the most insignificant person in the most insignificant clan.
And they didn’t change God’s mind either.
When God has spoken, you don’t get to seek a second opinion. Including your own. Especially your own.
You’re not the world’s leading expert on yourself. The One who custom-designed you from before your conception is. You’re not the world’s leading expert on your worth before God. The One who has made you worthy in and through His Son is.
When God shows you who you are, your first reaction will be no I’m not.

Happy Monday
Had a happy Monday playing with these little monkies....doing ALOT of nothing.....just relaxing and slowly trying to get the house back in order after all the festivities.....the holidays are always so fun.....but wow, is it nice to just go back into regular mode again ;)Stay tuned for more pictures to come!

6 Years....
Happy 6 years of marriage to my amazing husband...my best friend....my partner in crime...they say behind every good man stands a good woman....i say behind every good woman is a man that knows how to love.....and is doing it well. Thank you babe....because of you, I am a better person....and without you, I am not complete. Here's to many many more years.....and much more monkey business ;)

"Tell A Story...
God has been faithful to you and me too many times to count this past year. Pause for a moment and recall some of the ways that He has been good to you; the ways has come through for you. Now tell someone about God's active involvement in your life. The Bible calls us to do just that; to pass on to others the stories of our God's never-ending love and faithfulness. And when you do share your story, share it with passion and purpose so that those listening will know in their hearts that you serve the One True God - the Lord of Heaven and Earth. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, is intimately involved in YOUR life. Amazing, no?
See Your Story...
God is moving in and all around you. Stop in your tracks and remember again that He is always good, always working, and intervening on your behalf. Embrace faith, accept His grace, and refuse worry. Reject the temptation to compare your story with someone else's, especially if you're walking through a chapter you don't particularly like at the moment. In the end, you'll LOVE your story. So trust Him now and earnestly look for God's fingerprints on your life. They're there. See your story with His love in mind (see Ps. 26:3). God is up to something good.
Embrace HIS Story...
The Christmas story is not just a quaint, cute story, it's CHRIST'S KINGDOM COME TO EARTH! It's not old news, it's NOW news, GOOD news, the best news of all! Embrace the idea that we now have access to His presence, claim to His promises, and the assurance of eternity with God! Hallelujah! Embrace His story because it involves you! You are a part of the bigger story and you've been placed on this earth for such a time as this. Walk in a manner worthy of your calling. Embrace the Good News because you are a part of God's message to a lost and dying world. "

The Madrigals....all the groups did soooooooo amazing! I'm so proud of you babe!
one night we lost power for almost 3 hours.....so we used our fireplace for the first time this winter and roasted marshmellows....really made me appreciate electricty!!!!

Thinking of him....
When I'm eating his favorite kind of toast....I think of him.When I'm grocery shopping, I keep thinking I need to get some for him too.
When a new country hit comes on the radio I want to pick up the phone and ask him if he wrote the music and if he ever played in the studio for the artist.
When one of his old favorites comes on....I want to sit down and listen with him.
When I sit down at his piano I wish I could hear him play one more time.
When Aubrie learns something new....I'm sad that he's missed out on all her stages.
When Gabe and Ellie play with his wallet, I want to scoop them up and go to his place....just one more time for pizza nights....and watch him smile and laugh at their oneriness.
When I made the Christmas list of gifts left to buy tonite, I wanted so badly his name to be there too.......and wished I could pick up the phone and ask him how he was doing.
I miss you Paw-Paw Doc.......we love you! And can't wait to see you again someday!
