Last night I walked into the building of Paw-Paw Doc's last home.
As the door opened, the smells of the place hit me.
As did the memories.....and for a fleeting moment, I wanted him back.
I wanted to hear his laughter one more time.
I wanted to see his smile one more time.
I wanted to see him hold our kids in his arms one more time.
I wanted to hear him and Jason debate one more time.
I wanted to hear him play his piano one more time.
And most of all....I just wanted to tell him one more time how much we loved him
and appreciated the gift of him in our lives. He was such a good man.
