Dr. Paul E. Clark Jr., 69, of Pontiac, IL, formerly of Watseka, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at ASTA Care Center in Pontiac.
Visitation will run for two hours prior to the 3 p.m. service on Sunday, May 2. Rev. Paul Copeland will officiate. Burial will be in Metropolis, IL at a later date.
Mr. Clark was born March 7, 1941 in Metropolis, IL, a son of Paul and Lilly Melcher Clark Sr.
Survivors include special friends, Jason and Laura Strough of Forrest, IL and two cousins, Mary Ramsey of Metropolis, IL and Robert Gowins of Reidland, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Dr. Clark, who many affectionately called “Doc”, worked for the Donovan School system for 38 years as a chorus and social studies teacher and chess team sponsor, as well as the business manager. He served as the pianist for the Watseka Methodist Church and worked with the Watseka Show Choirs for many years. He also spent time working with the Iroquois West and Prairie Central Choirs. Dr. Clark spent his time writing and performing music as well as instilling music into the hearts and minds of the young people he came into contact with.
Memorials may be made to the Dr. Paul E. Clark Music Scholarship or the American Diabetes Association.

I'm so sorry that I didn't make it to see you guys. The stomach flu struck, and I sure didn't want to pass that around to your kids or you! I pray that it was a time full of God's grace! I will talk to you soon! Give Jason a hug from me.
