Manic Monday

Here is my "starting 38 weeks photo" PapaMonkey this time too ;)

PREGGO EGGO UPDATE:

1- As of Thursday night I was 50 % effaced.......had crazy contractions that night when I got home til 6 pm Friday night (5 min apart) and thought we were headin' out for the great event. Monkies were all packed up with bags and everything, sent away to Paw-Paw and Mee-Mee's.

THEN...they completely started getting further apart and eventually stopped (just like with our first two) *sigh* monkey is definatley getting ready to make their arrival!!!

2--Made the trip to a town nearby today to get my Red Raspberry Leaf tea.....and am gonna start drinkin it heavy ;)!!!!!! This helps tone the uterus but some studies have shown that this can actually cause contractions too! So for all you pregnant women, they suggest you do not drink this til very end of yer pregnancy.

3--Our sweet neighbor lady (who also works with Jason at school) informed him today that if the occasion should arise and we don't make it to the hospital because of this awful snowstorm we are supposed to be getting (AND DID YOU ALL KNOW: IT'S A PROVEN THEORY THAT SNOWSTORMS/CHANGES IN ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE CAN CAUSE WOMEN TO GO INTO LABOR?????!!!!!!!!JUST FOUND THIS OUT) bet it won't happen for us......BUT......

She is an EMT and is still awaiting her "Stork Pin"....says she would love to deliver our baby and lives right across the street. Hmmmm.......home delivery?????

4---I just want to say "THANK YOU JESUS....for sciatic pain relief......" Oh my goodness.....as soon as my babies drop there is instant relief that is unbelievable. I still have the low back pain but I can deal with the "aches" so much better than the sharp pains!

*******MANIC MONDAY**********

~Woke up this morning after a REALLY good night sleep. The monkies had their yearly checkups at the clinic at 10:15. Thankfully after a late night at my parents, they slept til 8.....so MamaMonkey did too ;) Yahoooooo!!!! But, therefore, I didn't have as much time to get done what I wanted to. Had loads of laundry I wanted to do. BUT....Gabe had other plans for me.

We forgot to put a diaper on him last night and left his undies on. Well.....let's just say he doesn't stay dry yet at night. Sooooooooooooooo, he came and woke me up at 8 and said, "Mommy, I'm so wet." And then proceeded to pee on the floor beside my bed. ;( Thankfully I didn't step in it.

So, I very cautiously went to his bed, and sure enough, it was soaked. EVERYTHING.......so I figured this better be the first laundry load of the day. I proceeded to start the first load. Went back to the bathroom where I thought I had flushed the toilet full of poo that greeted me also this morning. It was still there........so the toilet had to have some attention too this morning.

The next thing I hear is a big bang in the basement. I already knew what it was......the wash machine had hopped off the concrete blocks it sits on(because we have a wet basement) because I was washing Gabe's wet pillow. And I couldn't get it back on the blocks for nothing. So PapaMonkey gets sent an urgent text: PLEASE COME HOME AT LUNCHTIME AND PUT WASH MACHINE BACK WHERE IT BELONGS SO I CAN FINISH LAUNDRY........AND!!!!! WE ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF SOFTENER SALT........PLEASE BRING THAT TOO.......IF YOU WANT CLEAN SKIBBIES TO WEAR TOMORROW, MUST BRING SOFTENER SALT ALSO!!!

The phone then rings. The nursing home calling about Paw-Paw Doc. He's not doing well. They are calling to inform us his cathedar where they do the dialysis has been severely infected and they will have to admit him tonite to hospital to take it out. Then tomorrow, his podiatrist will visit him and make the decision whether his foot will finally have to be amputated. ;( *sniff*

This is not a good phone call at all. The nurse then says, "He is really really taking this hard and has been crying all morning."

So I call my Mom and ask her if she's interested in making a trip with me and the monkies to go visit him this morning since I cant do laundry anyways. Yes.....she will make the trip. Okay, great.......time to get out the door to go to the clinic then we will go pick her up.

Can't find my keys anywhere................Guess where they are???? In PapaMonkey's coat pocket at school (FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 3 WKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Arrrrgggggg...........Mee-Mee Monkey to the rescue yet again. ( I love you so much Mom......really I do.....you are the best of the best!)

She runs the keys over and we are only 6 minutes late to our appt. But they seem to be very forgiving (because they know I will bring a peace offering of homemade cookie bars tomorrow to work with me)

Appts go great......other than the monkies hate to be confined to a room. They manage to destroy room before we leave. Dr. Austman is probably thinking "I really hope this next monkey is more laid back!!!!!" We literally live in a zoo ;)

We make it to get my Mom after appts, make it to see Paw-Paw Doc, make it to Walmart, make it to Herbal Store for my tea, make it to an office to drop off paperwork for Doc, ate lunch at Wendy's (yum!), ran into a friend with her poor little boy with RSV :( ........and home again just in time to stick monkies in bed for naps before my 3 piano lessons show up. *sigh* Then it's time for supper, do laundry............and I hear water RUSHING DOWNSTAIRS.....run downstairs and the wash machine had busted one of the plastic pipes when it fell backwards. MamaMonkey sends PapaMonkey to get glue from Uncle Joshua....the plumber with the stinky glue........

I make the kids supper and while they sit at the table and eat, I make my peace offering to take to work tomorrow and get the kitchen cleaned up from breakfast time. Daddy gets home and we all sit down together. Monkies take FOOOOOOOOOOOOREVVVVVVVVVVVERRRRRRRRR to finish their supper. Finally after "airplane spoons" and much bribing with fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate sauce.......supper finally ends at 7:30 pm.
The glue has finally dried on the pipes downstairs.....so Im finally doing laundry at 8 pm.
*sigh* It's 10 pm, the monkies are sleeping, the tea has begun to tone my uterus......and the snow is falling outside. The chocolate chip marshmellow creme brownies are yummy....
And it's time for bed. Who knows......maybe monkey #3 will be here soonly.
I think the best Valentine gift this year would be if he/she could arrive before then!!!
Goodnight my friends.......

Oh honey!! Although this was not so fun for you, it made a big smile on my face. At least I know someone else has days like mine.
