Beth Moore Nutshell

Here are my notes from the Beth Moore Conference last weekend:
(That so many of you have asked about) In a BIG nutshell ;)

http://vimeo.com/7521825 And here's a great video recap too.....

7 WAYS TO PLOW A FRESH PATH/FRESH ENCOUNTER WITH GOD

1--Research God's Promises
* If you don't seek for a new and fresh encounter with God, you will turn to religion,
not relationship, with Jesus....which is legalism.
"3The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “ Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; 5 The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 40

1 “Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts." Malachi 3

2--Risk Fresh Hope
*Bondage is when we stay in our sin & stronghold and think that's always
how it's going to be.
*When you confess your sin, you become COMPLETELY CLEANSED and FREE!
*Repentance means we change the way we think and this causes a pivot in our walk
of life.
18 “ Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43

7" But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." 1 John 1

3--Redefine Repentance
*Ask yourself if you are truly repenting from all the daily sins, not just the big ones.
"1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8

4--Renounce Territorialism
*Take an ego check of your own ego.
*When we become so dependant on what brings joy to ourselves...
we become more self absorbed and this actually results in less true JOY.
*We need to focus on what brings our Heavenly Father joy AND bring joy to those around us.
*We can be overcomers of our egos by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony
"10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them!" Revelations 12

5--Recognize an Offense
*An offense will block the way of a new revelation from God.
*Enecho- this word means to be held in anything, to hold or nurse a grudge against someone,
or to be subject to (enslaved to) the very person we have a grudge against.
*Forgive and let go of whatever it is
"21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven." Matthew 18

"34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Matthew 18

6--Re-evaluate the Promise
*Be thankful for the hard times....for that is when you are face to face/nose to nose
with your Heavenly Father
*Do not waver......hold onto the promises God has given us
"20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Romans 4

"6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ..." Philippians 1

7--Regain the Goal
*We need to be focused on our own tasks and our own business
*Our goal is to get to Heaven ourselves and our family......not those around us
*Our goal is our soul....our task is NOT to make sure everyone else around us is doing
the right or wrong tasks.
*When we get to our Goal, God will be looking YOU in the face personally......and will He be
able to tell you, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant?"
" 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. 35 For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the LORD..." Proverbs 8

"24 But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. " Acts 20

" 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2
