A Crazy Day in the Life......

Today was a CRAZY day......the nursing home called around 10:15 to say that Paw-Paw Doc needed some things. So I quickly tried to wrap up everything I was doing, figured I should do some Walmart shopping while I was in that area, so put the kids in nicer /cleaner clothes and headed out. I was not wanting to wake up, (and it was already 11 by the time we got out the door) so I stopped at one of my favorite stores in town and grabbed a yummy cup of caramel apple coffee to give me a boost.

We stopped at Paw-Paw Doc's to get his stuff and headed over there. By this time, it was lunchtime and didn't want to interrupt his eating, so we went to Walmart first. I HATE taking both kids with me there but needed some thing and Ellie needed new shoes so we went.

On the way out I noticed my sandal was feeling funky on one of my feet. It had broken in half and I was already out by the van, getting the kids loaded AND ALL THE BAGS that ended up being way more than I was going for. So we proceeded to the nursing home. By this time it was after 1 and the monkies were starting to get hungry so we didn't stay too long. We enjoyed our time with him......and keep hoping he'll be home again by Thanksgiving!

On the way home, the kids really started getting fussy so I gave them succers. (Don't tell my Mom!) I was desperate for peace and quiet. My brother Jacob called to say he was hauling beans so if we wanted to come ride with him, he would love it. *sigh* the kiddos hadn't had lunch yet and I was supposed to start teaching piano lessons at 3:00. So I said I would called after I was done teaching and the kids had lunch and naps.

Jason was home sick again today and happened to be awake by the time we got home so he helped get the kids lunch and into bed before my lessons got here. Lessons went great....kiddos woke up happy, started getting the van unloaded when the phone rang. Paw-Paw George wondering if we wanted to come ride in the combine. OF COURSE!!!! But I must call Jacob first since he asked first ;) Got ahold of Jacob and he said they were doing calve chores and he would call later if he hauled grain again. Okay, so we hopped in the van to head out to ride with Paw-Paw George, told Daddy we would eat supper when we got home. Had a great hour ride with my Grampa, the kids didn't want to leave and threw a huge fit all the way home. By this time it was 7 pm. Once again.....they were tired and hungry. What a good mama, eh? The phone rings again.....it's Jacob: "I'm hauling again! Wanna come ride?" *sigh* yes.....let me just dump my crazy monkies off with their sick Daddy so he can feed them, bathe them, and stick them in bed.....cuz these crazy preggo Mama just needs another ride in the field ;)

Just kidding........we decided since it was so late, we'd try another time.

But at least we finally got our first combine ride of the season in!!!!!!

AND....the monkies got fed, bathed, and tornado of toys picked up.......now this tired Mama needs to get to bed cuz tomorrow is another crazy day.....this time at the clinic!!!!!
