Thank you to my dear friends Amy and JoEllen for coming today
to whisk me away from my hospital hotel. I just realized today that
I don't think I have ever in my long legged life stayed inside for 5 days
in a row. Except maybe when I had mono.
I just have to say....after being in a 75 degree hospital room for that
long the outdoors felt very, very, very cold. It was a shock to my body.
I could very easily become a mama bear that goes into hibernation....
as long as it's in my own house and not here ;)
They took me out to Applebees for a yummy lunch and good girl talk.
We also made a stop at Strawberry Fields and bought some particles
that are on Gabe's new diet. I found some blueberry granola bars, crackers
(which he has been asking for for 4 days now) some animal cookies, and pretzels.
All gluten free and not cross contaminated. Soooo......he finally ate a little bit
and is back to drinking soymilk. Hopefully we will see progress soon.
We also made a stop at Dunkin' Donuts to fill up my trusty thermos and buy
my breakfast for tomorrow morning. It was sooooooooo nice to have a little
taste of normal life again. Thank you ladies for being true friends to me.
(True friends are really the ones that bring you Amish Friendship Bread
and Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie to go with my coffee ;) Oh my goodness
I'm getting fatter the longer I'm here.)
For being here for me when I needed other mamas to lean on. For blessing
me so abundantly. I thank God for the gift of each one of you. And thank you
for all the bags of goodies......for myself and Gabe. You are so sweet and
thoughtful!!
I'm sad I missed out on a wedding and church today. I'm sad cuz I miss
my little Ellie girl, and I'm sad that Gabe still hasn't perked up or pooped
since Wednesday. But I feel very blessed that God is still in control and
answers are on the way.
Thank you to all our other dear friends and family that came to visit us.
It made the day go by alot faster. And Heather.....I wish we coulda
spent more time together....I love you for driving so far to give me that
HUG that I really, really needed and for knowing we're not the only
ones that have gone thru these storms in life.
My anchor holds because of Jesus.....But my anchor also holds
because of all of you that love us when we need it most and
cover us in prayers.
I will lift my eyes to the Maker of the mountains
I can't climb. I will lift my eyes to the Healer....

WE MISS YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! I think Sheldon has now become a serious stalker of your blog too =) Brandon kept asking if Gabe was better yet when we were getting ready to go to church...he misses his little buddy!! Miss Cindi sends hugs and kisses and I caught her up on all that's going on. Brandon was all alone in Sunday school and told Miss Cindi he's been praying for Gabe to come back to play with him. I SOOOO wish I could've come see you this weekend, all the smaller boys want to come also, but Sheldon has stuff going on at the church Sunday afternoon, and Saturday we were running kids here and there for things they had going on. Kiss Gabe for me and I promise to come see you as soon as I can, but I really pray you get to come home SOOOOOOON and we can all visit there =) LOVE YOU ALL BUNCHES & BUNCHES!!!!!!!
