Friends & Marriage

Well, we had another great weekend. God is so good to give us precious moments with friends.

Friday night we got carry out meals from the local nursing home that does a benefit supper every year. And the food.is.so.very.yummy. Grilled pork loin, baked potatoe with toppings, bacon green beans, fresh fruit salad, dinner roll, and homemade pies. Was so great having the hubby bring a meal home I didn't have to make. We then got babysitters and headed out to our high school's fall play. Was a fun night out.

Saturday morning got awoken to a phone call from a friend wondering if she could come spend the day. It was so fun to have Nikole here, playing with the kids, helping out with the meals.....If we could afford it, I would hire her to be here a couple days a week....she is such a blessing. She ended up spending the night too and it was so good for my heart to stay up late having heart to heart talk. Just in the last couple weeks, I had been talking to God about missing my single friends and it amazed me how quickly he answered my heart cry....He is so good to care about every single detail in our lives.

Today at church was just amazing. During worship the Holy Spirit just came upon our church and filled the sanctuary in an indescribable way. The morning was filled with a little piece of Heaven touching our hearts and souls. This afternoon we started a marriage class with 4 other couples from our church. We hosted it in our home and were blessed with 2.5 hours of steady laughter and wisdom from a Pastor Mark Gungor. Seriously....I can't wait to share this DVD series with EVERY married couple we know.....it blessed us huge and we're not even halfway thru. The whole afternoon I kept thinking: Wow, we are really burning the calories here with all the laughter. It was awesome. Check him out on either YouTube or GodTube.

This was the first time I made a wreath. I actually went to the store this weekend and made another one. I am going to give that to someone for Christmas. I think I am going to take them to work and see if anyone is interested in ordering one.
