Random Thoughts...

Randomness:

#1---I think coffee is seriously killing my taste buds...sad day ;(
I LOVE tasting food, but I cannot imagine life without my Joe every day!
What to do?!?!?!

#2---Okay living on a highway has major disadavantages....(although we love it here).
The lady across the street turned 50 and last night around supper time her dear sons put
up a HUGE sign...that.you.cannot.miss....that says, "Honk! Janet is 50!" So from supper
time last night (why they have it for 2 days beats me....does everyone have a birthday for 2
days, I mean...come on!) til now people are still honking. We live on a highway AND it's harvest
time, so guess what that means? Even the semis are going crazy honking! Until midnight last
night they were honking......right! I was thinkin' it was a little ridiculous. Did they not want
their sleep across the street either? Were they up all night celebrating 50?!?!?!
I now am cringing every time I hear a car coming....just waiting for that annoying noise of a
honk. And if they still should have that sign up tomorrow morning...I will seriously, have to
go have a talk with them about Sunday being a day of rest and even the horns of cars should
not have to work! AND who has a birthday for 3 days anywhoo?
BUT really....I hope the lady is getting a blessing out of it. I like the idea, just not on such
a busy highway. *sigh* just since i've been typing this paragraph there has been over 100 honks
I'm sure of it ;)

#3---Gabe figured out how to open the "half-door/gate" to the basement. The deadbolt is
on the other side of the door, but he has figured out how to reach over and undo it.
This happened yesterday when I went down to put in a load of laundry. I thought I heard
a sound behind me and sure enough, there he was, grinning from ear to ear his new little grin
when he has figured out something cool that isn't really so cool.
My next sound I hear is Ellie....oh yeah......as my heart stops and I go running.....I see she
has made it down the first flight of stairs and was on the landing ready to go the second flight.
They are hard, linoleum and very steep.....with concrete floor at the bottom.
I did not take a picture peoples, to show it.....I was too upset, trying to remind myself to breathe
again, yelling at Gabe what could have happened to his sister, and thanking God that they were both okay. (although Gabe does stairs fine, I hate to think of what all she is going to try and
copy off him.)

#4---Jason and I were in the middle of an argument last night (and not talking) and God
spoke to us thru his computer game. "Our song" came on and you have to understand...the game
he plays is midevil times......way back when stuff and our song is a Bryan Adams "Everything I Do, I Do It For You"....pretty sure they didn't have that song back then. Supposedly when you play this game you can add music to make the people on the game play, but Jase says, It's never been anything modern. Soooooooooo, it was pretty cool how God worked thru it and we got thru our issues. And the reason I share this is because of this: NEVER ever limit God and put Him in a box....He will always prove Himself bigger than we and our human minds. He can speak to us thru anything and He WILL get our attention in one way or another. Isn't He awesome?!?!

#5---I just had the most amazing morning. I headed down to Lincoln Christian College to
pick up my friend Becky and bring her home. The drive down was gorgeous....it's a beautiful day, the trees are turning, and I had a wonderful time talking to God and drinking my coffee. I'm in the season of life where I don't usually have quiet relaxing mornings ;) Becky took me to a cute little cafe and we had a huge yummy breakfast. Bacon and cheese omelet...the best I ever I had...hashbrowns, toast....hmmmmmm. It was so good for my heart to get to spend the morning with her! I love you Becks...and thank God for the gift of your friendship. And to my dear hubby....thanks again for watching the kids...you are the best!

Well, I'm off to help a friend cater a wedding reception so.....hava great weekend everyone!
Blessings n Hugs....Laura
