Holding On to Hope...

(the 7-ups continued...)
THOSE WHO HANG IN THERE AND HOLD ON TO SCRIPTURE WILL HAVE HOPE

1-Put up...the first thing we're called to do is to put up with people.
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:3
"We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves."
Romans 15:1
"IF YOU ONLY LOVE THOSE WHO AGREE WITH YOU, YOUR CIRCLE OF LOVE WILL EXCLUDE MOST OF THE WORLD"


2-Build up...We're to put up with people and next we're to build them up.
"Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up." Romans 15:2
"Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
1 Thessalonians 5:11
"NEVER LOOK DOWN ON ANYONE UNLESS YOUARE HELPING THEM UP"


3-Look up...We can put up when we build up, but we can only do that if we're looking up.
"When they looked up, they saw no one else except Jesus." Matthew 17:8



4-Grow up...If we're ever going to bear with the porcupine people in our lives, we must also take the responsibility to grow up in our faith.
"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

A Boy and His Dog

So our little man isn't supposed to sleep with furry things. In fact, he really shouldn't have any stuffed animals in his room at all with his allergies. But he really,really loves them. So every night I take them out after he's asleep and every day they find their way back to his bed ;)

And just about once a week he asks if he can have a real dog. And every time I tell him, maybe someday when we don't live in town and it can be an outside dog. And every night, he takes his cute little puppy and makes a cute little bed inside a cute little leggo bucket with his cute lil blue blankee ;) And every night I smile.....and wonder how he's gonna react someday when we actually let him have a real dog. ;) ;)
