Coffee,Chocolate Cake & God's Goodness

DOING:
Relaxing....having a good quiet time while the monkies nap......we have been so busy that i have not got to enjoy quiet afternoons in soooooooooooooo long. Actually looking forward to school starting so we can get back into a schedule.

DRINKING:
Coffee....finally again, the first couple months of EVERY pregnancy it makes me nauseated soooooooooooo bad and I always, always miss it sooooooooooooooo bad. It's so crazy how when I can't drink coffee, the devil thinks i don't need to spend my time with Jesus cuz you know spending time with Jesus just isn't as good unless you hava good cup of coffee!!!!
Well......I have proved him wrong many a time, but am so glad to be drinking coffee again!!!!!

EATING:
Chocoate fudge cake with Buttercream frosting from my Mama................that is just utterly amazing.....melts in your mouth then makes you want another honkin' piece!!!!

READING:
Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge........with my fabulous group of book study women!!!!
Love you girls!!!

Ephesians 2:8-10
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
......this verse always takes my breath away......oh how much our Father in Heaven loves us!!!!!

LISTENING TO:
The rain........great afternoon to relax inside.......and enjoy God's goodness and grace

THINKING ABOUT:
Paw-Paw Doc......Jase called to tell me that he got transferred to the 3rd floor at hospital to the physical therapy unit and depending how well he rehabilitates, he can come home after awhile. OR, we will do nursing home placement for more rehab. Sadly, none of us want this, but we also want him where he is in good hands and not by himself. Thank you so much for all your prayers. I personally can feel them too as it's not easy having Jason gone all the time and just trying to work together making the best decisions possible. God has definatley been carrying us thru this and we're looking forward to having Doc home again and close by as soon as possible.

LOOKING FORWARD TO:
A quiet Friday night at home with hubby and the kids, pizza, and movie night!!!
Hava great weekend!!!

Mommy's Hair & Tummy

Well, after many years of hair tradgedies and mishaps and hair falling out in clumps.....I finally got it all chopped off in hopes it will grow back nice and healthy. And maybe soon we can afford to put new pipes in our house so the rust will quit doing such damaging things to pregnant mommies!!! And you get a tummy picture too......Triple S is growing!!!!

I feel like the new "do" has aged me too many years.....but hopefully it will grow back fastly!!!

More Updates

Paw-Paw Doc's procedure this morning went well. However there was some arrythmia in his heart (irregularites) so now he gets to go thru all the fun stress tests, etc.

His first dialysis treatment went well tonite from what we've heard.
He however, is ready to be home again. The many tests and strict diet is not his cup of tea.
So we're hoping and praying for dialysis to kick his kidneys back into proper function
and that he'll start feeling better soon.

Thank you again for all yer prayers.

Please pray for Paw-Paw Doc as they will be doing the surgery tomorrow morning to
put a catheder in his neck/collarbone area to start the dialysis treatments.
I will try to update tomorrow morning as soon as I know more.

My Fence! My Fence!!!

Ahhhhh.....the beauty of a finished project.....well almost. One of our gates came warped so we had to exchange it and of course, it has yet to be completed. Then the latches were very quickly discovered by so called monkies THAT THEY MOST DEFINATLEY NOT MONKEY PROOF!
So the waiting game begins again......1 more gate to put in and install deadbolts!!! ;) ;)
And while you may be admiring our beautiful landscaping (done by the owner before us)......just remember, with it comes the lovely and LARGE ground hornets that I blogged about last summer. Yes, it is still a daily (and sometimes much more than that) activity in catching these nasty big bugs in our famous jar. If we use the "pour gas or wasp killer down their hole" method, it will kill our landscaping. Although i'm beginning to hate the landscaping....I'd rather have our monkies playing safely outside with no such nasty bugs flying around threatening to sting.
So if you drive by and see bushes flying thru the air, colorful flowers catapaulting over the fence, beauty being destroyed, don't think I've gone off the deep end......just stop by and help me get rid of these awful hornets!!!!
Anyone know how I can have the best of both world's?!?!??!??! Beauty and NO hornets?????

Paw-Paw Doc Update

For those of you that have been asking:

We all went down to see Paw-Paw Doc today. He was able to sit up and transfer to a chair with the help of 2 physical therapy techs. He was also able to keep solid foods down which is a good sign. The bad things are: He is completley on oxygen and still seems to have labored breathing.
His white blood count is going down but other levels are still going up.

His renal doctor came in today and says they will probably put the port in his neck tomorrow so we can start dialysis soon.

Taking the kids for a bit really seemed to cheer him up and our friend Wes and my brothers Joshua and Isaac stopped in today too. If you are in the area, feel free to go visit him, I think that is always little pieces of sunshine in the "dreariness" of the hospital stay.

Thank you so much for all your prayers.

PLEASE PRAY

Please pray for Paw-Paw Doc......

He was admitted to hospital yesterday with sepsis, renal failure, and much infection. So far his body isn't keeping anything down and his potassium levels (as well as other levels) are dangerous. The plan is to start dialysis on Monday. Please pray for God's will to be done and that His peace would surround us all through this time.

Thank you so much.
